Feedback Loop

These new sculptures (output in image format) are then passed through ComfyUI, an AI tool that offers granular control over a creative output based on custom ‘workflows’ that enable users to achieve a diverse range of specific end goals, powered by Stable Diffusion and LoRA systems.

About the Process
This workflow integrates generative AI into Yam’s creative process, serving as a tool for rapid and efficient creation. The process allows for the seamless production of exhibition-ready sculptures, enhancing the overall creative workflow by merging traditional artistry with advanced digital tools.

Exhibitions
Overview
"Color" at the Holon Design Museum
18 July–21 December, 2024
Curated by Liora Rosin and Yuval Saar
Exhibition Details
Exhibited as a large-format installation, “Color” utilises two screens to showcase the process and final product alongside each other.
On the left screen, we can see the process inside ComfyUI as input Object imagery is used to generate variations, before preparing them for export.
The right screen demonstrates the creative end goal of this workflow: a complete 3D mesh with accompanying texture maps, exported from ComfyUI into Cinema 4D to be exhibited, in this particular case, within the confines of a simulated, a-contextual white cube gallery space as a simple proof of concept.
